Culture & Tradition

Rajasthani culture reflects the state's colorful history. As a result of its beautiful culture, history, people and monuments, it draws visitors from all over the world. The essence of culture can be found in its folk dance, music, traditional cuisines, people and their daily lives. ​
Attire- The most essential components of Rajasthani attire are turbans, mirror and stone works, and silver or other pieces of jewellery. Both men and women enjoy adorning themselves in the brightest ways, maintaining a strong sense of tradition and culture. 

Language- Hindi is the most widely spoken language but there are traces of the local essence. Each of the region has its own dialect.

Festivals

Rajasthan's vibrant festivals reflect the state's ethnicity, culture and heritage. These festivals showcase Rajasthan's true culture. 

One of the unique festivals celebrated here is the Camel Festival, which is specifically held for camels and their owners. The camel race and dance, among other fun competitions are held during the festival.

Some other festivals that are famous in the state are the International Kite festival, Elephant fair, Rajasthan International Folk festival, Holi, Diwali and Desert festival. During the Desert festival, a large number of people from all over the world visit the state.

Art & Craft

Rajasthan's art and craft have a long history. They are an important part of the state's culture. Different districts and cities specialise in different art forms. Some museums in Rajasthan display objects from various regions such as, Marble carvings, Miniature paintings, etc., and it demonstrates the artistic genius of the artists of bygone eras. 

Rajasthani art is famous throughout India. Furthermore, these handcrafted items have a thriving international market. Wooden crafts, metal products, toys and dolls are all examples of the artisan's artistic ingenuity. These are some of the best souvenirs you could bring back with you.

Cuisine

Rajasthani cuisine, like the state itself, its people and rich culture, is a dazzling array of colorful, spicy, and one-of-a-kind dishes. From the signature dish of the state, Dal Bati Churma, to the popular street snack, Mirchi Ke Pakore, it is a fine treat to have. 

This royal cuisine boasts a wide variety of offerings that can confuse you, as to where to begin. It has various breads, tasty curries, spicy tidbits and accompaniments, the butter milk, and the sweet delights.
